I’ve always been an artist and designer. That’s been part of my DNA for as long as I can remember. I’ve also always been curious and wanted to figure things out. My brain never stops. Even as a kid, I asked a million questions about how things worked, and yes, my mom will happily confirm that I drove her crazy.

The artist in me has always loved beauty, color, texture, and all the little details that make something feel special. But there’s another side of me that can’t leave a problem alone until it’s solved. I was that kid who went from art class straight to math team meetings. Not your usual combination, but I’ve always believed creativity and logic belong together. The designer in me wants it to look beautiful, and the problem solver in me wants it to work perfectly.

A conversation with friends about why handbags aren’t designed to truly accommodate our essentials led me to think about a universal problem: why can’t we ever find our glasses when we need them? Why do we risk scratching them or leaving them unprotected because we don’t have the time or space for a bulky case? We toss them into our bags, cross our fingers, and five minutes later we’re still digging. By the time we find them, they’re scratched, squished, or even worse, missing altogether. Sound familiar?

One morning at 5 a.m., I woke up with the solution. I could see it clearly in my mind, a protective case sewn right into the wall of a handbag. A safe, structured home for your glasses that keeps them secure and exactly where you left them.

I taught myself to sew, made prototypes, and yes, broke a few needles and machines along the way. To prove it worked, I decided to put my money where my mouth was.
